Heavener online bachelor’s degree ranked No. 1 on first-ever US News ranking
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – In its first year ranking online business bachelor’s degree programs, U.S. News & World Report has bestowed the top honor to the Heavener School of Business at the University of Florida Warrington College of Business. With a score of 3.8, the Heavener School is the No. 1 online business bachelor’s program in the nation, tied with Arizona State University.
“Being recognized as the No. 1 online business bachelor’s program in the nation by our peers is incredibly humbling,” said Alex Sevilla, Associate Dean and Director of the Heavener School of Business. “This being the inaugural ranking makes it that much more special. We’re proud to be a trusted source for educating and training students to be successful leaders, no matter where in the world they are earning their degree.”
In addition to Heavener’s ranking, UF Online ranked No. 3 overall for bachelor’s degree programs and No. 2 overall for bachelor’s degree programs for veterans. As highlighted by these rankings, the University of Florida provides affordable access to an education with several top-10 online programs. It is the highest-ranked university in Florida and is increasingly preeminent nationally.
To create its list of best national online bachelor’s programs, U.S. News & World Report surveyed 357 schools that offer online bachelor’s degrees. The rankings were based on four weighted categories: Engagement (35%), Student Services and Technology (25%), Faculty Credentials and Training (20%) and Expert Opinion (20%).
The Heavener School of Business, in partnership with UF Online, offers both an online Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration (BABA). Through this partnership, students benefit by being exposed to some of the nation’s top professors and elite coursework, while earning their degree 100% online.
In a program that doesn’t require any campus visits, creating connections with professors and peers can be challenging. But thanks to its partnership with UF Online and connection to the Warrington College of Business, a 20-year pioneer in the online education space, the Heavener School easily facilitates connection across distance.
“Everyone has been willing to put in the time to help me succeed as a student,” said Kyle McLaughlin (BSBA ’19), UF Online alumnus. “I’ve built some strong relationships with a few of my professors and would consider them mentors.”
