Marketing faculty member named 2025 UF Research Foundation Professor
Chris Janiszewski, Russell Berrie Eminent Scholar in Marketing at the University of Florida Warrington College of Business, is among the 35 University of Florida professors honored as the most productive and promising faculty named UF Research Foundation (UFRF) Professors for 2025.
The recognition goes to faculty who have a distinguished current record of research and a strong research agenda that is likely to lead to continuing distinction in their fields.
“It is an honor to be recognized for my research,” said Janiszewski. “Business school research helps consumers, businesses and public policy officials make better decisions.”
Janiszewski’s research focuses on price perception, branding, consumer learning, goal pursuit and perceived value. This is now the third time he’s been honored as a UF Research Foundation Professor.
Janiszewski, who has been a professor at Warrington since 1987, has been named among Stanford’s list of the top 2% of most influential scientists in the world, with a career impact above the 98.6th percentile in the field of marketing.
In 2019, he was named a Fellow of the Association for Consumer Research for his career contributions and significant impact in consumer behavior scholarly work. In addition to receiving the Journal of Consumer Research Best Reviewer Award six times, he has also received the Journal of Marketing MSI/Paul Root Best Paper Award.
He currently serves as the associate editor of the Journal of Consumer Psychology and on the editorial review board for the Journal of Consumer Research. He has previously served on several editorial review boards of the Journal of Marketing, Marketing Letters and Marketing Science.
