Warrington faculty listed among top scientists in the world
Numerous Warrington faculty have ranked among the top 2% of most influential scientists in the world, according to a recent study by researchers at Stanford University.
The study includes eight Warrington faculty who made the career list, based on their entire career of scholarly research production, and eleven Warrington faculty based on their scholarly impact in 2021.
“I am honored to join this list of management scholars, and happy that my work is having an impact,” said W.A. McGriff, III Professor Joyce Bono. “I could not have accomplished this without my excellent co-authors, nor without the support of our University of Florida Management Department faculty and Ph.D. students. They make me shine.”
Ranging in fields from accounting to marketing, the study details faculty contributions to their respective fields, outlining the percentile in which they rank. All Warrington faculty who were listed ranked above the 96th percentile.
“Having so many Warrington faculty members included in this list is a remarkable achievement that underscores the quality of research and academic excellence of our college,” said Associate Dean for Research and Strategic Initiatives and Lanzillotti-McKethan Eminent Scholar Chair Mo Wang. “It is an indication of the college’s commitment to advancing knowledge and making a significant impact on society. It also represents great recognition of the hard work and dedication put forth by our faculty members. It reflects positively on the reputation of the college and the university as a whole.”

James W. Walter Eminent Scholar Chair Joseph Alba’s scholarly impact is above the 96.9th percentile in the field of marketing for the year of 2021.
W.A. McGriff, III Professor Joyce Bono’s scholarly impact is above the 98.6th percentile in the field of business & management for the year of 2021.
W.A. McGriff, III Professor Amir Erez’s scholarly impact is above the 96.8th percentile in the field of business & management for the year of 2021.
Bank of America Eminent Scholar Chair Mark Flannery has a career impact above the 99.6th percentile in the field of finance. Of scholarly impact in 2021, he is placed above the 99.5th percentile.
William H. Dial/SunTrust Eminent Scholar Chair Christopher James has a career impact above the 99.2nd percentile in the field of finance. Of scholarly impact in 2021, he is placed above the 97.4th percentile.
Russell Berrie Eminent Scholar Chair Chris Janiszewski has a career impact above the 98.6th percentile in the field of marketing. Of scholarly impact in 2021, he is placed above the 97.2nd percentile.
Frederick E. Fisher Eminent Scholar Chair Robert Knechel has a career impact above the 98.4th percentile in the field of accounting. Of scholarly impact in 2021, he is placed above the 99.1st percentile.
